    SoCal: Saturday and Sunday, November 3rd and 4th 

    Reproductive freedom activists will showing their solidarity this election season with the campaigns working to elect pro-choice candidates into office. NARAL will host feminist road trips: these are opportunities to not only take concrete actions during critical weekends for the election season, but make friends and see more of California and Nevada! In Nevada, we will be supporting Jacky Rosen for US Senate and Steve Sisolak for Governor of Nevada. In Southern California, we will be supporting Katie Hill and Katie Porter for Congress. Activists will be leaving early Saturday morning and arriving back to the Bay Sunday evening. NARAL will provide supportive housing and some meals during the road trips.

  • Canvass in Milwaukee

    VoteRiders’ Wisconsin Voter ID Coalition Coordinator, Anita Johnson, is spearheading the canvassing operations for Souls To The Polls in the African-American community in cooperation with at least 65 churches. Those canvassing will also include volunteers from the church whose surrounding constitutes the footprint for each canvass. The focus is on voter registration and voter ID. Canvassing in Milwaukee will start on Monday, September 10, 2018, and will run through Saturday, November 3, 2018. We will canvass on Mondays through Fridays from 4:00pm until 7:00pm; and on Saturdays, from 9:00am until 12:00/noon. Volunteers will have to organize (and pay for) their transportation, accommodations, etc.

    Sister District needs District Captains to organize volunteers, particularly in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. Sister District is an awesome grassroots group with teams across the country that work to flip state legislatures by providing extra manpower to candidates in swing districts. District Captains are essential to this mission -- they coordinate teams of volunteers in various get-togethers (house parties, fundraisers, postcarding parties, phonebank parties) and organize outreach (tabling at events, canvassing, etc.).
